The Checker Aerobus was produced in 6 and 8-door models. The 6-door was only built for 4 years. They all had station-wagon bodies until the final two years. In 1976 and 1977 they had sedan-style bodies. The following are the production figures as I know them. I welcome knowledgeable corrections. First build date was March 1962. From then until February 1964 there were 465 built but I do not know the number of 6-door and 8-door vehicles manufactured during that period. March 1964 - December 1964 there were 465 built (serial numbers 866-1391) but again I have no 6-door and 8-door production numbers. 1965 - There were 253 produced (serial numbers 1392-1645) again no breakdown.on doors.
