I bought a 1963 Aerobus about a year ago and have been putting some life back into it.  Joe Pollard is redoing my missing front bumper, other than that the car is in pretty good shape.  Here are some photos of it.  I just got done a week or so ago rubbing off the words "AMBASSADOR TOURS" that was painted on both sides of the car.  That took a long time.  The car runs ok and has a Chrysler 318 in it. I have just finished the headliner and am starting on re-upholstering the seats and putting in new carpet. I am thinking of painting the car to look like a taxi but I am still unsure what kind of paint or look I want. I first saw the Aerobus several years ago in a field out in the desert, you could only see it from a distance, so I thought it was an International truck type airport vehicle.  I would see it everyday passing by on my way home, then one day it was on the edge of the road for sale and I saw it was a Checker.  I had not seen any Aerobuses around before so I went bonkers over it.  They must have tried to drag it with four flat tires and a chain around the front bumper and pulled the bumper right off. I bought it the next day. I plan to use it to haul around my family here and there. I live in the Lake Elizabeth area about twenty miles west of the Antelope Valley in California.
